I attended the Bicentennial Kick Off Celebration yesterday where Congressman Bart Gordon served as the keynote speaker. Jay Qualls, a local celebrity baker who appeared on TLC’s The Great Baker, created the official Bicentennial cake. It will be on display at City Hall so, everyone in attendance got one of the delicious cake bites below. Jay also owns the local business Maples Wedding Cakes. Here are a few photos from the event.
